Artur C. Warchavchik

Artur is a photographer, cinematographer and director. He was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where he earned his bachelor’s degree of Communication in Advertising from FAAP. He later studied film in New York at NYFA, and Buenos Aires at FUC, and in 2020 he arrived in Barcelona, where he completed his master’s degree in Direction of Photography at ESCAC.

A Photographer by heart, he worked on short films, ads, TV series, and features in countries like Argentina, Brazil, England, USA, Lithuania and Spain. In the past year, he expanded his career by taking on roles as director and cinematographer for documentaries. His projects have taken him to diverse locations and topics. He traveled to the Pantanal region in Brazil to film a documentary about an NGO tracking jaguars. Additionally, he ventured to Manchester to work on a documentary focusing on the Strangeways prison riot, and also to Lithuania, where he explored the town his great-great-grandfather originated from.
